Dear everyone,

Does one of you know authors, books, literature, ... about how translators influence the data generation? I would like to include something about this on my methodology chapter, but so far I have only my own experience.. Smile

I would say most of it would be common sense. Translators do influence data collection, but probably in ways that you can definately anticipate and write about. I too am relying on translators data. I suppose one thing Im doing is making sure I get the interviewees speech and not just the translator so I could perhaps have a more accurate translation in the future.
